Terms and conditions

The agreement between you and KampungHub when you pool orders, host a pool or supply items.

Who we are

KampungHub is operated by [PLACEHOLDER: registered company entity and UEN], a company registered in Singapore ([PLACEHOLDER: registered address]). In these terms "we", "us" and "KampungHub" mean that operator, and "you" means the person using the service, whether as a buyer, a host or a supplier. These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of Singapore.

How KampungHub works

KampungHub is a hyper-local group-buy marketplace for Singapore neighbourhoods. Neighbours pool their orders so a supplier can fulfil in bulk, which unlocks a lower price than any one household would pay alone. Each pool has a minimum order quantity (MOQ); the bulk price is confirmed only once the pool reaches it.

  • A buyer joins a pool and reserves a quantity.
  • A host runs the pool for their block and hands the goods over at collection.
  • A supplier lists items and fulfils the combined order in bulk.

KampungHub provides the platform that connects these parties. It is not the seller of the goods and does not take ownership of them.

Payments and your money

KampungHub never holds your money. Payments are handled by a licensed payment service provider. When you pay, your funds stay with the payment service provider and are settled to the supplier who fulfils your order. We do not take custody of customer funds at any point.

You can pay with PayNow QR, PayNow online or card at checkout. Every fee that applies to your order is itemised before you commit. If a charge looks wrong, contact us at [PLACEHOLDER: support contact] and we will help you trace it with the payment service provider.

If you host a pool

As a host you agree to:

  • Run the pool honestly, describing the items and the collection arrangements clearly.
  • Be available at the stated collection point during the collection window and hand goods to the right buyer.
  • Keep the collection point and any food handling appropriate for the goods you are passing on.
  • Tell your buyers promptly if a pool is delayed or cannot go ahead.

Your reliability as a host is recorded and shown to you in your account. Hosting does not make you an employee or agent of KampungHub.

If you join a pool as a buyer

As a buyer you agree to:

  • Give accurate details when you join and reserve only what you intend to collect.
  • Collect your order during the stated collection window at the agreed point.
  • Bring your collection code so the host can hand your order over.

Collection

Each pool has a collection window and a collection point set by the host. Exact points may be approximate until you have a paid order. At collection you show the code on your order and the host confirms the handover. If you cannot make the window, contact your host through the pool before it closes.

Cancellations and refunds

A whole pool can be cancelled - for example if it does not reach its minimum order quantity, or if the host or supplier cannot fulfil it. When a pool is cancelled, the paid buyers are refunded through the payment service provider.

You can also cancel your own places in a pool while it is still open; doing so releases those places back to the pool for other neighbours. Refund timing depends on the payment service provider and your payment method. Refund handling for specific cases is [PLACEHOLDER: refund policy detail and any time limits, to be confirmed].

Food and perishable items

Many pools are for food. Suppliers and hosts are responsible for handling, storing and passing on food safely, in line with the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) requirements that apply to them. KampungHub is not the food business operator for these items. If you have an allergy or dietary need, check the item details and the dietary tags before you join a pool.

Your data and privacy

We handle your personal data under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). You can export everything we hold about you, or ask us to delete your account, from your account. Deletion still keeps the transaction and ledger records the law requires us to retain. The full privacy notice is [PLACEHOLDER: link to the privacy notice, once published].

Limitation of liability

KampungHub provides the platform that connects buyers, hosts and suppliers. The goods themselves, their quality and their handover are the responsibility of the supplier and the host. To the extent permitted by Singapore law, our liability is limited as set out in [PLACEHOLDER: limitation of liability terms, to be drafted and reviewed]. Nothing here is intended to exclude any liability that cannot be excluded under law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as KampungHub changes. When we do, we will update the effective date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app. Continuing to use KampungHub after a change means you accept the updated terms.
